As the business grew, its success increasingly depended on knowledge concentrated in one person's head, and there was no way to scale that.

It wasn't unique to his family's company. It's a structural reality across the chemical industry: the expertise that drives commercial success is locked inside a few people, and the business can only move as fast as they can.

Years later, as advances in AI and data technology began to make a new approach possible, Farid and his cousin Sajjad, who also grew up around the industry, set out to solve it.
